Creating a Brand in Merch.ai

Once set up, your brands will appear in the Brands tab, where you can edit or review them anytime. When creating Presentations or Lookbooks, you can search among your brands and your logo and brand settings apply automatically — no need to start from scratch each time.

How to Create a Brand

1. Go to the Brands tab

   • Click Add Brand in the top-right corner.

2. Enter or search for your brand

   • In the left box, enter your brand name to create it from scratch.

   • In the right box, you can search well-known brands — this fetches optimized logo files for faster setup.

3. Upload your logo

   • Choose a high-quality file, ideally one designed for light backgrounds.

   • If you only have a white logo, you can upload it too — Merch.ai now supports white logos and will automatically generate a black version for light backgrounds (you can edit it later).

4. Review and approve

   • Merch.ai will automatically generate four logo variations:

     1. For light backgrounds

     2. For dark backgrounds

     3. For the brand color as a background

     4. A one-color black version

   • Review each version and click Approve once they look right. If something looks off, use the editor to fine-tune colors and ensure everything aligns with your brand guidelines. Click here for a tutorial!

Pro-tips

• Use high-resolution files with transparent backgrounds (PNG or SVG preferred).

• For best results, upload both a main logo (horizontal) and an icon logo (square).

• To update or replace logos later, open the brand and click Edit.
